Kalevi Kama bar can be considered the national treat of Estonia – it’s unique in the whole world. Kalev introduced Kama chocolate to the market in the 1960s. Its production grew especially high during the cocoa crisis in the world in the late 1970s, after which the production of Kama chocolate bar stalled for almost twenty years.
In August 2001, Kalev resumed production of the legendary Kama chocolate, now under the name Kamatahvel. It turned out to be more popular than expected – people were overwhelmed with real joy of recognition and childhood nostalgia. The product does not contain hydrogenated vegetable fat or preservatives.
